DPG Tanzania

Education Development Partners Group

The Education Development Partners Group (Ed-DPG) is one of the sub-groups of the overall Development Partners Group (DPG)  in Tanzania consisting of bilateral and multi-lateral agencies providing support to the education sector. The (Ed-DPG) was established in line with the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and facilitates coordination of development partner support to Government programmes. The group is comprised of, but not limited to; Global Affairs Canada, UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank, USAID, DFID, SIDA, KOICA and the Swiss Embassy. The group generally meets once per month, and is led by the Ed-DPG Chair, supported by the Co-Chair. The Chair/Co-Chair is rotated on an annual basis. 

The Ed-DPG promotes coordination of development partners to ensure the most efficient use of resources that are provided to the Government of Tanzania to achieve the education objectives of the Education Sector Development Programme (ESDP), National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty, FYDP II and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)
