DPG Tanzania

About PFM Development Partners Group

The PFM DPG is dealing with Public Finance Management (PFM). It is a subgroup under Cluster working group 4. PFM DPG is currently co - chaired by DFID and Denmark and supported by the PFM DPG secretariat (funded by DFID/DENMARK) and housed by Ministry of Finance/DFID.

The main strategic document outlining PFM reforms is the Public Financial Management Reform Program, PFMRP. It´s forth phase was launched in June 2012 (ppt presentation)  and a basket is set up to support the implementation of the reforms. The program is result driven based on a solid M and E framework (PFMRP IV Strategic document). For all development partners interested in PFM reforms please contact the PFM DPG secretariat.

The PFM DPG interfaces with the Government on various levels. There is a PFMRP secretariat within the Ministry of Finance. The PFMRP Management Committee, PMC, is called by the Government of Tanzania, chaired by the Deputy Permanent Secretary for PFM reforms and co-chaired by the Chair of the PFMDPG. PMC prepares the Joint Steering Committee, JSC, meetings.

The PFM JSC is the decision making organ and is chaired by the Permanent Secretary for Finance.
